Everyone at the University of Oslo deserves to have their voice heard at the highest decision-making level of the University and this is what I am striving for. My goal is to actively contribute to shaping a stronger, more inclusive, innovative and forward-looking University of Oslo. I want to work for a better work environment, stronger education programs, and more coherent strategic planning — for the benefit of all of us, both today and for the future generations of researchers and students.

Election platform

1.  Improving Work Environment and Ethics

A healthy work environment is the foundation of a successful university. I will work to ensure an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment for all staff and students. Diversity, equality, health, safety, and ethics must be visible priorities in decision-making at every level. A positive work culture strengthens research, teaching, collaboration, and personal well-being. I will advocate for a university, where every voice is heard, every contribution is valued, and conflicts are addressed early and fairly.

2. Strengthening Education

Education is one of the most important missions of the University. While research excellence must continue, we must also strengthen our commitment to high-quality education — from Bachelor to PhD levels. I will advocate for better support for teaching, more attractive programs for students, and stronger integration between research and teaching. We must ensure that our students are not only exposed to cutting-edge knowledge but also prepared to solve tomorrow’s societal and environmental challenges with confidence and creativity.

3. Coherent Strategic Planning for Infrastructure and Funding

Strategy must be realistic, aligned, and measurable at different levels. Strategic thinking must serve both immediate and long-term needs. I will push for better coordination between departments, faculties, and university leadership to ensure that infrastructure investments and external funding support systems are sustainable and effective. We must plan infrastructure projects wisely, avoid unnecessary closures and duplication of the laboratories, and offer more organized support to researchers for external funding applications. In the upcoming years that some parts of the university are moving to the life science building in Domus, we should rethink how to better relocate and organize the moving labs and the remaining departments toward a more interdisciplinary collaboration that results in a green, innovative, and sustainable future.
