About the concerts

Mari Eriksmoen is the soloist in Ludvig Irgens-Jensen’s song cycle Japanischer Frühling, with texts drawn from a collection of Asian poems. Honorary conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste will also conduct Anton Bruckner’s monumental Symphony No. 8.

24 April — Mozart and Schumann symphonies

Arvid Engeg?rd conducts symphonies by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Robert Schumann that each in their own way renewed the symphonic genre and imparted deeper, darker undertones: Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 and Schumann’s Symphony No. 4.
