About the performance

Six dancers are transformed into living machine-creatures, dressed in costumes that look as if they are taken straight out of a post-apocalyptic video game. Chunky Move has collaborated with an animatronics company to develop the costumes, which together create an experience that is equal parts ritual, rave, and raw physical performance with precise, almost mechanical movements.

The sound design is by Gabber Modus Operandi, who create intense and experimental club music where gabber/hardcore techno is blended with Indonesian musical traditions and avant-garde electronica.

Duration: 55 minutes.

About the artists

The company is known for pushing the boundaries between dance, technology, and performing arts. For over 30 years they have toured more than 130 cities and 150 festivals worldwide, and are acclaimed for large-scale, uncompromising productions that reach far beyond traditional dance audiences.
