The 2027 ERC Starting Grant call is expected to open in summer 2026, with a deadline in October. The University of Oslo is hosting a webinar to support prospective applicants in preparing competitive proposals.
Following a brief introduction to the ERC programme and its funding schemes, the session will focus on how to develop a strong and compelling proposal narrative. Using concrete examples, we will demonstrate how this narrative can be presented clearly and consistently across the different sections of the application. The webinar concludes with a summary of key takeaways and the defining features of successful ERC proposals.
Participants will gain practical tools and approaches for proposal development, as well as support in assessing when and whether to apply.
The webinar will be held online and consists of two sessions with a short break. There will be opportunities for questions throughout.
The webinar is primarily aimed at researchers planning to apply for the ERC Starting Grant, but it will also be relevant for those considering a Consolidator Grant and for research support staff.
The webinar is delivered in collaboration with Innovayt AS and will be held in English.
Registered participants will receive the Zoom link prior to the event.
