Tram: The tram will not be back before the summer holidays after all. We are awaiting further notice, but we should expect bus replacement for the tram until post-summer, and likely well into the autumn as well.
Demolition: The patient hotel is nearly completely demolished, but there will now be a phase from 8 May lasting for two weeks where there will be extra noise. This will involve cutting and drilling into concrete elements, as well as breaking out and removing basement walls. They will also be creating holes in the shelter in the basement of the patient hotel.
The company conducting the demolition is doing what they can to minimise the noise. Communication between us and the company has been good throughout this process.
Here’s what our new neighbouring building will look like (Domus Medica as a flat, grey drawing marked as "pleklinisk bygning"):
The nearest white and grey building is the so-called Building J, which is to be constructed in the excavation site on the west side of Domus Medica. It will be situated next to the cafeteria and administration at IMB.
Blasting: Previously, blasting has occurred three times daily at the excavation site towards Gaustadbekken. The contractor is now increasing this to up to five times. These are (with +/- 5 minutes):
- 9:00 AM
- 12:00 Noon
- 3:00 PM
- 5:00 PM
- 7:00 PM (with +/- 15 minutes)
There will continue to be drilling of anchors and cutting occurring at various times in the excavation site.
Roundabout: From 13 May, the junction between Klaus Torg?rds vei and Gaustadalleen will temporarily be converted into a roundabout.
