Two-factor authentication for Gmail and Google Calendar (Android)

Follow this procedure aftet two-factor authentication has been activated on your UiO-owned Android device (phone or tablet) for e-mail and calendar at UiO.

Note! After the activation of two-factor authentication for Android, it will not be possible to use email and calendar programs other than Gmail and Google Calendar.

 

  1. Open the Gmail app
  2. The next screen informs you that you need to set up a new mail account, and the one account has been removed. Tap Next (do not tap the + button)

  3. You will be taken to UiO's UHAD login page and enter your password. Then click Sign in.

  4. Verify the setup with number matching or a six digit code.
