What is Password Services?
Password services is UiOs portal?for:
- Changing your password.
- Set initial password for a new account.
- Create a new password if you have forgotten your password.
- Fetch your usernames if you have forgotten them.
For other tasks on your own IT user account, we recommend using Brukerinfo, the UiO self service user management tool.
Getting started
Can be used by students, staff and members of faculty, and external users with a?UiO guest account or WebID account.
Don’t lose wireless network access when changing your password
Applies only to private computers and telephones and other devices that are not operated by UiO.
From 6 January 2026 there will be a security update for the Eduroam wireless network at UiO. If you have incorrect settings for Eduroam, you will need to set it up again the next time you change your password — or preferably before — to avoid losing wireless network access.
