Programme structure
In this programme option you combine courses from the Department of Technology Systems (ITS) and the Department of Informatics (IFI) and write your master’s thesis at ITS.
You plan a course of study in collaboration with your supervisor. The plan includes a master’s thesis and a theoretical curriculum composed of courses relevant to your thesis.
There are five mandatory courses in the programme option for cyber-physical systems. You choose the rest of your courses under the guidance of your supervisor. You may choose among the courses listed below. Depending on the subject of your master’s thesis, you may also choose other courses. The courses will normally be master’s level courses at ITS or IFI, but courses offered by other departments may be considered.
You can choose a long (60 ECTS credits) or a short (30 ECTS credits) thesis, which combined with your theoretical curriculum should amount to a total of 120 ECTS credits. If you choose a long thesis, you must complete 6 courses (10 ECTS credits each); with a short thesis, you must do 9 courses.
