Men vil denne intelligensen v?re bevisst?
At this digital seminar PhD students, postdocs and Master?s students in life sciences at UiO and NMBU have the opportunity to create networks outside academia.
"The Lapse of time" oratorium over utdrag fra Charles Darwin: On the Origin of Species er komponert av Bj?rn Morten Christophersen og skulle fremf?res i Frogner kirke.
Hva forsker livsvitenskapforskere p? for ? forhindre nye pandemier?
This is a two days online workshop with interdisciplinary attitude. It is held on 10-11 December 2020.
UiO:Energy and Energy Valley welcome you to an afternoon of interesting insights, bringing together the best of research from the University and the best of tech from our cluster.
This webinar aims to bring together leading experts working in mathematical physics or mathematical finance with particular focus on stochastic analysis, kinetic theory, numerical solutions of stochastic (partial) differential equations, infinite-dimensional analysis and white noise theory, optimal transport and control.
UiO:Energy would like to invite you to an open webinar on energy. This time we will have two interesting presentations on energy in the Global South. Kirsten Milo Nielsen will talk about improvisational solutions to unstable electricity supply in northern Uganda, and Gz. MeeNilankco Theiventhran will present his research on energy conflicts in Sri Lanka.
The Throne Holst paper- and twitter awards will be arranged October 15th at 2.00-4.00 PM.
The 10th annual Nordic EMBL Partnership conference will be hosted by MIMS, Ume?. The conference will take place online.
On 7-9 September 2020, the conference on high-dimensional stochastics will take placeas a virtual meeting under the auspices of at the Wolfgang Pauli Institute (WPI) in Vienna, Austria. The conference is an activity within the thematic program "Mathematics for Risk in Finance and Energy" at the WPI.
We aim to bring together an interdisciplinary group of leading researchers with interest in high dimensional stochastic modeling. Particular emphasis will be given to infinite dimensional Markov processes, SPDEs, population dynamics, high dimensional statistics and connections to financial and energy modeling. We welcome participants from academia and industry to take part in this event.
UiO:Energy would like to invite you to an open lunch where PhDs working within the field of sustainable energy will present their research projects. In this webinar, Heidi Sydnes Egeland from the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law and Camilla Louise Würtzen from the Department of Geosciences will talk about juridical and geological challenges related to carbon capture and storage (CCS).
UiO:Energy would like to invite you to an open lunch where PhDs working within the field of sustainable energy will present their research projects. In this webinar you can learn more about decarbonisation of mobility systems in suburban centres, and “magical” materials that can contribute to solving the climate crisis by converting waste heat into electricity.
Feel like you need some professional input and company these days, without it being too formal or requiring a lot of preparations? A meeting place where you can update each other on what you are working with, ask questions, and discuss while having a cup of coffee and something to eat?
The 5th Scandinavian Gathering Around Remarkable Discrete Mathematics
The European Causal Inference Meeting 2020 will take place from April 22nd to April 24th in Oslo.
