1) check that their SAOImage DS9 works by opening some images in the folder ForStudents/CCDImageProcessing2025/CCDData

2) check that the Jupyter notebook works by opening the Jupyter notebook file CCDImageProcessing_Nov2025.ipynb.  Also check out CCDProcessing_README.txt.

Dear students,

It is very important that you prepare for the upcoming lectures (3rd to 11th of November) that will be given by Jane Luu, going through the following points:

1)  Install python and Jupiter notebook: https://docs.jupyter.org/en/latest/install/notebook-classic.html

(Or by whatever method you like).

2) Install SAOImage DS9: https://sites.google.com/cfa.harvard.edu/saoimageds9

3) Make an account on the an online LaTex website Overleaf (www.overleaf.com) through UiO.

Please let us know or show up at the group sessions if you have problems with any of the procedures.
