This is a tentative plan for our meetings. [1] below refers to "An introduction to convexity", [2] to "Notes on combinatorial optimisation", and 3 to "Network flows and combinatorial matrix theory". Links to these can be found in the curriculum. Our meetings recur every fortnight starting 4. September, ending 13. November, from 1215 to 1400. So, the dates are 4/9, 18/9, 2/10, 16/10, 30/10, and 13/11. The meetings will take place in room 500 in the math building.
I suggest we use these meetings mainly for solving exercises, but I am also open for going through parts of the theory on demand. I suggest that you try to solve the exercises. A solution manual for the exercises will be put on the course webpage.
The compulsory exercise to be handed in will be comprised of the exercises marked in boldface below. The deadline for the compulsory exercise is 30. October 1430 in canvas.
It seems that the last week in November may be a suitable time for the exam for most of you. The exam will be oral if we are 12 people or less.
