The lectures Wednesday 29 of October are cancelled. We will resume the lectures Friday 31 of October.

Please check that you are solving the assignment with date 27th of October. In the previous one some data needed in order to solve 1.3 and 1.4 was missing. You can use the same link to download the updated version of the assignment.

Next Wednesday 24, since I have to attend another event at 9:00, I will start the lecture at 7:45 and I will finish at 9:00.

This ONLY applies to next Wednesday.

1. Right click on the link and choose "save as" or similar, depending on the browser

2. Either use the cloud version of Jupyter Notebook ( https://jupyterhub.uio.no/ )

or

install Anaconda, install in it an R-environment and run it in Jupyter Notebook from Anaconda and open the file.

Tomorrow's lectures (17.9) are cancelled due to sickness of the teacher. You can read on your own sections 2.4-2.5 of B?lviken's book. 

Next Friday I will very quickly review this material and I will start doing exercises in chapter 2 of B?lviken's book. 

In particular: 

Prove formula for mean and standard deviation for MC estimator of mean

Prove formulas for CDF, expectation and variance of lognormal distribution
