Over the last fifty years, there have been many calls for interdisciplinary education, research, and work. However, over the same time a growing literature has emerged on the many challenges academics and students face in interdisciplinary education.?
In this session we will share some approaches and pedagogies to meet these challenges that have come from the project Academic Hospitality in Interdisciplinary Education (AHIE). We will focus on the potential of academic hospitality to improve collaboration in study programmes intended to prepare students for interdisciplinary research and work.
