Here is a link to the 2025 exam and here is a link to a solution suggestion for the exam. Due to one very challenging problem, the grade scale was shifted down by 5 points from the standard scale and set to A:87-100, B:72-86, C:53-71, D: 41-52, E:35-40.

The obligatory assignment in MAT4301 can now be downloaded from the folder "Files" in Canvas. The deadline for handing in is October 30th.
In class today, we shortly discussed Theorem 2.3.3 on the mean-value formula for the heat equation. As some details are not so easy to follow in the book, I've uploaded a proof with more details in the folder "Occasional notes" on the web page for those that are particularly interested (it is not curicculum).
There will be one written obligatory assignment in this course that will be uploaded to this webpage October 10th and with deadline October 30th. For administrational reasons, please hand in using Canvas.
Due to my travels, the first lecture has been rescheduled to Monday, 25 August. In this session, I will provide an overview of the topics we’ll cover throughout the course and discuss Chapters 1 and 2.1 from Evans.
