Christoffer Redmund Hals is a Senior Communications Adviser at dScience – Centre for Computational and Data Science. He also works with communication for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MN) and Integreat – Norwegian Centre for Knowledge-driven Machine Learning.
He works with research communication, digital communication, and strategic communication in academic environments. Hals supports research projects, interdisciplinary initiatives, and faculty leadership in communicating their work to relevant audiences.
His responsibilities include communication strategy, content production for web and social media, and advising researchers and leaders on dissemination. He plans and delivers events, including seminars, workshops, and conferences, and works systematically with event communication and outreach.
Hals contributes to collaboration with partners in the dScience Partner Program, supporting dialogue between academia, industry, and the public sector, and is involved in communication for large research initiatives and cross-sector projects.
He has broad experience across corporate and organisational communication, science communication, and digital media. This includes writing opinion pieces, articles and speeches, as well as work with e-learning, streaming, video conferencing, and video production. His work also covers web development, social media, storytelling, and communication-driven community building.
In addition to advisory work, he mentors communication advisors and delivers courses and workshops for researchers, including training on the use of AI in communication.
