How should the University of Oslo maintain its research profile as an internationally oriented, comprehensive university? This was discussed by Rector Ragnhild Hennum, Pro-Rector Bj?rn Jamtveit and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Anne Julie Semb at an open meeting last Friday.

The local salary negotiations at the University of Oslo (UiO) for 2025 have now been concluded. This year¡¯s settlement is an interim settlement, which means that only salary has been subject to negotiations.

The agenda for the meeting featured the state budget, board work, and Viking ships as Rector Ragnhild Hennum welcomed staff to her inaugural digital all hands meeting.

1 March is the deadline for applying to the University Kindergartens  for year 2025/2026 with start-up in August. If you need a kindergarten place for your child and meet the application criteria, submit an application on the online form. The application form opens 1 February.

UiO, together with the parties involved, has signed a protocol related to the salary negotiations for 2024 under the Akademikerne/Unio agreement. The parties agreed that the general percentage increase will be 2.1%.
