New deadline to nominate candidates to the University Board

In May, a new representative for the fixed-term academic staff will be elected for the university board. The deadline to nominate candidates has been extended until Monday 13 April, at 10.00 AM.

The election for representatives to the University Board takes place from 6 May to 1 June 2026.

One representative and two deputies shall be elected from among the fixed-term academic staff, and their term of office is from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2027.

– As a representative on the University Board, employees have the opportunity to influence how the university is managed and developed. We are hoping that more people will stand for election as representatives of the fixed-term academic staff and chose to extend the deadline to give everyone a couple more days, says Chair of the Central Electoral Committee, Katrine Kj?rheim Fredwall.

Nominate candidates

All fixed-term academic staff with at least a 50% position, or in a temporary position as Professor II, may nominate candidates for the election. You can nominate others or yourself as a candidate.

Those who are nominated must have been asked in advance and must have agreed to stand for election.

Proposals must be submitted to the central electoral committee by 13 April at 10:00 AM.
