Finally, we have a good and user-friendly automatic speech-to-text tool. It works very well in Norwegian, can translate automatically into English, uses AI technology, and does not send data out from the UiO servers.
The Board of the University has established new guidelines for how violations of research ethics norms are to be processed. This is part of the ongoing work with research ethics at UiO.
From 1 January, the new IT department at UiO is in place. Both USIT and local IT staff from several units at UiO are part of the new department. For most people at UiO, the first ting which will be noticed is that contacting IT support will be easier with one, joint point of contact. For the staff in the new IT department there are organisational changes, some will get a new manager and all will work together.
On January 1st 2023, the new joint IT organization for UiO comes into force. The organisation's vision is to be user-oriented, inclusive, highly competent and creative, and already in November we are seeing results of the user-orientation in the form of a survey that is sent to all faculty, staff and students.
23 researcher projects and two student projects at the University of Oslo have been granted seed funding and student support from the Life Science Growth House. We are happy to see so many promising early-stage innovation ideas. We congratulate all who are involved in the projects and look forward to good collaboration!
Since the start in 2016, more than 350 young health science researchers have received training in health innovation through the School of Health Innovation. From 1 June, the Life Science Growth House is in charge of the school at the University of Oslo.

The Estate Department at the University of Oslo in agreement with the Natural History Museum has decided to close Robert Collett's house for visitors, effective from Thursday December 9 2021 to March 1 2022. The Botanical Garden, Climate House, Museum Shop and other facilities will keep open for the public as usual.
